Hidden City Project

Miniature or regular-scale objects can be constructed and photographed for the project. Use model-making techniques to simulate reality, and then go beyond it.

For example, the kerbstone runes. These real markings could be documented, then serve as the basis for an invented written language. Then fake kerbstones with words or sentences written in this language could be constructed and photographed.

In this way the 'original evidence' found in the street can serve as a starting point for wilder flights of fancy. The truly fantastical and the mundane can be merged through the illusion of hyper-reality.
