Language

The nature of language. The point of recognition. Thresholds – when is – when isn’t? Moments of recognition, formed only through differentiation from the rest.

Is an ‘identity’ to be defined through its differences from others? Or differences and similarities. If there are no ‘others’ is there an identity at all?

If language is a self-reflecting, self-regulating system of signs, is all communication inherently compromised by the endless play of signifiers? Each speaker/ listener effectively makes their own language, their own conceptual world.
